AKC S.T.A.R. PUPPY TRAINING      

Running for 7 weeks  Starting Wednesday, September 9, 2026

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Training is a foundational 6-week training and socialization course designed to give young dogs and owners the best start together.  Week 7 will be testing for AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certification for those puppies who are not yet one year old.

The class is open to puppies who are old enough to have completed vaccines up to 1 year of age.  Vaccine records will be checked for all dogs before admission to class.  Dogs who turn one before the testing date may test for CGC Certification on the recommendation of the class instructor or may continue to the next Beginner Pet Obedience class to earn CGC Certification.  

In order to gain Star Puppy certification, owners must attend all six classes.   If an emergency or health issue causes a missed class, makeup classes can be worked out with the instructor.
