    What is AKC tracking?

    Discussion and examples of equipment/harnesses/tracking lines/books

    How to start dog tracking & How to play the show me game

    Demonstration of a tracking dog

Questions ….ask all day long!

Starting your dog ….hands on ….every handler/dog team will work at least twice and more if time permits.

Details: Weather may be chilly, dress appropriately. Please drive carefully on the back road.  Mount Solon has an increasing number of Old Order Mennonites living here which means we have horse & buggies on the roads as well as an increased number of cyclists.

Bring water for your dog! 

YOU MUST PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG!! 

YOUR DOG MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES

Bring:  Tasty soft treats for your dog(s) for tracking. And bring “articles” such as socks, gloves, wash cloths, cloth dog toy.

Food! – Everyone will be responsible for their own food – there is no place to buy food very close to this location.

There will be electricity so we will have hot coffee.  

Directions:  Shelter 3 location - After you come to the Stop Sign at the entrance to the park and stop...drive straight ahead for 2/10 of a mile Shelter 3 will be on your right.  Parking area in front of Shelter 3.
