Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing will occur starting at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023. Each test will cost $10 per team. Tests will occur at 15 minute intervals.
The test includes these ten tasks:
Accepting a friendly stranger.
Sitting politely for petting.
Appearance and grooming.
Out for a walk.
Walking through a crowd. .
Sit & down on command and staying in place.
Come when called.
Reaction to another dog.
Reaction to distraction.
Supervised separation.
The handler is allowed to talk to the dog during all of the test exercises, except for supervised separation as the handler is not present. Food or treats, clickers, toys, and corrective collars are not allowed to be used during the test. A dog that growls, snaps, or bites (directed towards another dog or a human) at any time will be dismissed from the test.
The fee covers only the test.
