    Jan Simmons and Linda Montgomery have agreed to lead one more four class cluster on Monday Mornings.  Join us as we perfect the skills needed to compete in the obedience ring.  These classes are focused on basic skills but may include some intermediate skills as the teams progress.

    These classes are available in a set of four.  Refunds are not available for missed classes.

    session 4 of:

    AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class will start Monday, May 2 at 6 pm for 6 weeks. The puppies need to be at 12 weeks and be vaccinated for rabies. Please bring Rabies certificate, Poop bags, and dog brush. This is a program designed by AKC to:

    • . Provide socialization for your puppy
    • . Provide basic early training
    • .Teach owners about responsible dog ownership
    • .Teach owners about appropriate exercise and activity for your puppy.

    At the end of the class the puppies will be tested and awarded an AKC S.T.A.R. puppy Certificate for passing the training requirements.

    The Commonwealth Dog Obedience Training Club will start a new session of beginner obedience classes on Thursday the 21st of April at 6:30 p.m. at the Crimora Community Center. (This first class is an orientation without dogs).

    The session has seven classes total and is open to dogs who are at least six months of age.

    Following orientation, the schedule will be an odd one for this session because of the room availability. We will meet on the following days/times:

    Monday 25th of April 6:30 p.m.

    Thursday 5th of May at 6:30 p.m.

    Monday 9th of May at 7:00 p.m.

    Monday 16th of May at 7:00 p.m.

    Monday 23rd of May at 7:00 p.m.

    Monday the 30th of May at 7:00 p.m.

    The cost of the seven week session is $60.

    The training covers leash walking, coming when called, staying where put and general manners for a family pet. One dog per handler and please no more than one dog per household. We require proof of vaccinations for the dogs.
